Someone said you spoiled the occasion
With a sorry frown
Don't know where you're finding the persuasion
To get so down
So they took you for a ride
Couldn't stop you if I tried
Something you had to find out for yourself
Kept you hanging on
Til you did a wrong
Now you know better
In your head you can select
What you want to remember
Didn't come so far to aid you in your grieving
Say it's not your fault and hear you disbelieving
I know that you would always try to do the right thing
But do you know for whom you're fighting?
Don't blame you for your ill informed decisions
In a world gone mad
Setting out to grow a bed of flowers
Build a wall instead
And if we are wise
We'll open up our eyes
So they can not so easily slip the lie past us
See the sunny day
Coming any day
Taking for ever
Do not need to be afraid
Faith will hold us together
Lost in play and on the way
To a place that is better
