Friend in Need

Friend in Need
NOTE TO INTERNET CUSTOMERS: having your music stolen by this telecommunications giant can adversely affect your credit rating. It can also adversely affect your health when their technicians show up to fuck up your modem, so it passes everything that's coming to you over to their cutthroat favourites, as appeared to be the case for me, from at least 2007 to 2010, at my old apartment on East 8th. God knows how their attacking my back now.

She's in a shocking way lonely
Left to her fate
Needs a prince to lift her
From her lowly estate
Isn't so great

When it's all sold out at the lost and found
You got nothing good left and you're so overwound
If your jig's up enough you should pay some heed
To the little one who's done and a friend in need

He is a master pretender
With his mask on the floor
Who's got a longer vacation
He could make a case for
Keeping the score

When you're down and out with your face in the ground
You got nothing good left and no friends around
If your fly's up high enough buy him weed
He's a little bit shy but a friend in need
When it's all sold out at the lost and found
You got nothing good left and you're so overwound
If your jig's up enough you should pay some heed
To the one who's done in and a friend in need

They were a long way from owning
But work very hard
They keep the kids from moaning
In the neighbour's back yard

What it's all about once you've been around
Nothing much else but a stake in the ground
Is if you take some time as you plant the seed
And stay a little ahead of a friend in need
When it's all sold out at the lost and found
You got nothing good left and you're so overwound
If your jig's up enough you should pay some heed
To the little one who's done and a friend in need
