Meantime

Meantime
Never a cause for a pause in the dull commotion
Nothing too deep that we could not keep out in the open

Meantime still trying
Staying blissfully aware
Made too complacent

Travel along and you hope for a long transition
Changing the train seems aimless from this position

Meantime still unwinding
Things staying up in the air
We'll know that you made it
When the picture gets faded
Long awaited, charmingly rare

Live out the lesson, make a concession
Winning conditions miss by a hair
You want to look decent
Got to keep the past recent
Dare not tear from the will to go nowhere

Stay out of sight and hope for the right solution
Day against night as we draw to a bright conclusion

Meantime still not finding
Ones inclined to play fair
What is the difference
If it ever gets finished?
Once resisted never a care

Lay out the vision as if it all isn't
Up for revision, given to err
Stay in the present
Where there's less of a depression
Halfway there to the river of nowhere
